| Art
is my passion and I am constantly in search of my own distinctive style.
Perhaps that’s the reason I continue to experiment and improve upon
my techniques every chance I get.... always trying to quench my thirst for
knowledge when it comes to the art form.
I'm one of the lucky ones who discovered I had a natural artistic ability. However, I didn't plan on pursuing art or painting as anything other than for leisure until I had a unique opportunity in 1995 to live in Paris, France. There, I found myself immersed in a whole new artistic movement. I was suddenly surrounded by the most incredible artists, philosophers, and teachers who have spent their entire lives giving back to their fans. These people worked, lived and breathed in the French comic book industry. With such mentors as Moebius, Meziere, Cadelo, Bellamy and Bati, I was finally back on track. Of all my mentors, my dear friend, Bruno Bellamy was the artist that helped me develop my craft and continue to diligently produce an art style of my own. Since my return to the states in 1998, I have showcased my art at Cafe D’Roma as well various restaurants and local galleries, and have contributed my works to non-profit organizations. Currently, I am working on a freelance basis and looking forward to having another art show in the near future. I don't have any photographs of my paintings on hand, but I recently purchased a digital camera and for my new pieces I will display my progress here in the upcoming months. |
